We're in Norway!!

Hello friends and family, we made it to Norway! We reached our final destination, the Rivermont Youth Center in Harstad, around 9:00PM yesterday evening. The hospitality is a huge blessing as we've enjoyed a constant supply of coffee and jam since we arrived.

Earlier today we had the opportunity to visit a church that's been standing in the city of Harstad for over 600 years. Trondenes church is thought to have been completed in the 1400's. Originally a Catholic Church, Trondenes now continues to operates under the Lutheran faith. We learned a lot about the history of the church and the community, and finished with a time of prayer and worship right in the center of the beautiful church.

Keep the people of Norway in your prayers as we continue to glorify the name of Jesus in worship and prayer. The majority of the people in Norway are baptized into the Lutheran Church as it is the state religion, but many haven't yet come to know Christ in a real and personal way. We are holding firm to the words of Christ in John 12:32, "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Pray that the Spirit of the Lord would inhabit our praise and that Christ's light would shine on the dark and cold hearts of beautiful Norway!

  2. Glad to hear this! Sounds like the trip is already going well. Mary, maybe you could post the videos here that you posted on your FB page. It's awesome to see you all involved in worship. I reposted the two videos on my page. We're praying for you all! Thanks, Heather (Jasmine's mom)
