Pictures!

Here are some pics from our trip (check out more on facebook by looking at Hannah Lockard or Mary Vorrath or other team members):

This is the day in Bergen that we prayed and sang over the city.

We are now in Oslo at Misjonkirken. We will be doing ministry with Jesus Revolution tomorrow afternoon as well as having Thanksgiving dinner with them. Tonight we had a worship seminar with a 2 hour worship set following. The LORD moved and we had a great time in His presence. It has been so amazing to see God work on this trip as He continues to speak to and through us and work in each and every one of us. We will not be returning to the states as we left. We are continuing to be transformed day by day as we grow closer to Him.

UPDATE!!!

Hello Friends and Family!

We apologize for not getting to update this more often, but let me give you a quick update on what has been going on.

After we left Harstad, we went to Vigrestad where we did a concert outreach with dance and drama. This was at our friend, Aslak's, house (he is the Norwegian traveling with us and he is our fellow team member and practically family). This went really well and a lot of freedom was brought to that area. You can check out various videos and pictures on facebook through either myself (Hannah Lockard) or Mary Vorrath.

Next, we went to Stavanger where we did a worship seminar and got to hang out with the IMI Bible Students from ACTA Bible School. We went downtown and did ministry with them where we witnessed to people and prayed for them on the street. It went really well and was a lot of fun. We were able to stay at hostiles and homes with the ACTA Students and had a great time getting to know them.

We then went to Bergen where we stayed the weekend. This city is beautiful and is a "city set on a hill" (Matthew 5:14). We did a worship seminar there, prayed and worshiped together, and went on top of this mountain that overlooks the city where we worshiped and prayed for the city. The picture that is above is our team on top of the mountain.

We are now in Hamar at a YWAM base (Grimeru) which is one of 7 bases in Norway. We have been blessed to be able to spend all day in the prayer room today just soaking in the presence of the LORD and getting to lead worship as well. This has been so refreshing and such a blessing.

Tomorrow afternoon we will leave for Oslo where we will conclude our trip. We will be staying at a church and doing some ministry downtown with Jesus Revolution students. We will be having Thanksgiving at the Jesus House (where Jesus Revolution is) and then doing a concert on Friday night.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers. God has been answering and moving and doing great things. Please keep praying for the Body of Christ in Norway to be awakened to His love and to go deeper in intimacy with Him. Please also pray that our team will be in good health as a lot of us have not been feeling too well.

Tusen takk! (thousand thanks)

Blessings,
Hannah Lockard

Fjord fun in Harstad

We had some people on the team who decided to jump in the fjord right before we left Harstad, as Jake mentioned in a previous post. Here is a video of the men that jumped in. It was probably 4 degrees celsius outside. :)

Over night stay in Oslo at Ruth & Johan Grimstad farm!

Hey friends! We stayed the night in Oslo last night on our friends the Grimstad farm. We're about to continue on to Vigerstad by way of a 10-hour bus ride. Our host home was a huuuge blessing.

Harstad was a great experience, the Lord really moved in our worship and ministry. We spent the weekend leading worship at a prayer conference and joining the people of Harstad in seeking the face of the Lord in prayer. Mary taught on the tabernacle as well, and we were incredibly blessed to be able to play a concert for the town on Saturday night. We finished out the weekend with a quick dip in the fjord before hopping on the bus to the Harstad airport.

I can't believe how quickly we've became friends with all the people we've met so far. It is good to know that we are part of a Body that stretches as far as Norway. God bless all my Norwegian brothers and sisters!

I will try my best to continue updating the blog, but as time and internet are limited I may not be able to post videos or pictures as often as I'd like. Keep Norway in your prayers as God continues to bless this incredible country through our worship and fellowship. May the name of Christ be glorified!

We're in Norway!!

Hello friends and family, we made it to Norway! We reached our final destination, the Rivermont Youth Center in Harstad, around 9:00PM yesterday evening. The hospitality is a huge blessing as we've enjoyed a constant supply of coffee and jam since we arrived.

Earlier today we had the opportunity to visit a church that's been standing in the city of Harstad for over 600 years. Trondenes church is thought to have been completed in the 1400's. Originally a Catholic Church, Trondenes now continues to operates under the Lutheran faith. We learned a lot about the history of the church and the community, and finished with a time of prayer and worship right in the center of the beautiful church.

Keep the people of Norway in your prayers as we continue to glorify the name of Jesus in worship and prayer. The majority of the people in Norway are baptized into the Lutheran Church as it is the state religion, but many haven't yet come to know Christ in a real and personal way. We are holding firm to the words of Christ in John 12:32, "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Pray that the Spirit of the Lord would inhabit our praise and that Christ's light would shine on the dark and cold hearts of beautiful Norway!

Norway 2010 - Almost here!

2010 Norway Team
School of Worship

We have been praying, fasting, preparing, and seeking the LORD as our team of 24 prepares to head out to Norway this coming Wednesday, November 10. Before we leave, though, we will spend all day (Tues, Nov 9) making final preparations for our second annual 2 1/2 week trip to the nation of Norway. We will be taking the name of Jesus to Norway through leading worship, dance, drama, teaching, and just showing the love of God. Please keep us in your prayers as we get ready to head out next week, and check back regularly as we will be posting updates throughout the duration of the trip. More to come!
